2 Marines Killed In Mexico Crash

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Two female Marines based at Camp Pendleton died in a vehicle accident in Mexico, military officials said Saturday. The crash occurred early Friday in Mexicali, about 130 miles from San Diego at the Mexico border across from Calexico. The two women were members of the Camp Pendleton-based 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. Their names were withheld pending notification of their families.
Marine Corps officials were working with Mexican authorities to investigate the deaths.
