UPDATED: 11:28 am PDT June 17, 2009

Three men were behind bars Wednesday on suspicion of growing 324 marijuana plants in a greenhouse on otherwise undeveloped land in Fallbrook, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

Deputies found the operation in the Deluz Canyon area, off of Calle Roxanne Road, Tuesday afternoon based on a tip from a resident, San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Phil Brust said.

Ian Sean McKinster-Peters, 18, of Placentia; Corbin King, 20, of Fullerton; and Erik D. Trent, 19, of Yorba Linda, were caught in the greenhouse and booked on suspicion of growing pot, he said.

"It appears they planned on being there for awhile," Brust said, adding that the greenhouse had electricity and water.
