Witnesses Help Track Down Suspected DUI Driver

LA PRESA, Calif. -- A motorist who fled on foot after a two-car crash in the South Bay is behind bars Monday on suspicion of drunken driving, authorities said.The crash on Jamacha Boulevard, just west of Sweetwater Road, was reported at 10:36 p.m. Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.Witnesses helped officers track down a man who ran from the scene, the CHP reported. His name was not immediately released.
There were no serious injuries, a Heartland fire dispatcher said.
