Roseville Boy Hospitalized After Hit By Car

POSTED: 6:45 am PDT June 3, 2009

A 10-year-old boy is hospitalized Wednesday with a broken hip, leg and ankle after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle in the Roseville area, police said.

The accident occurred in the 1000 block of Catalina Boulevard around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Sgt. Bob Dare.

The boy was riding his bike on a sidewalk when he was struck by a motorist pulling out of a parking lot, Dare said. Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident, he said.
