BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. -- An airplane made an emergency landing on a roadway in the desert of northeastern San Diego County Saturday, but it appears that no one was hurt, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.

The plane landed just after 1:30 p.m. on Highway 78 east of Yaqui Pass Road, just south of the community of Borrego Springs, the dispatcher said.

The plane was moved off to the side of the road and is not creating a traffic hazard, the dispatcher said.
