EL CAJON, Calif. -- A man fatally hit by a pickup truck in Granite Hills was identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office Sunday as a transient known to frequent El Cajon and Lakeside.

Michael Lee Moser, 54, was struck at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday on Jamacha Road north of Granite Hills Drive.

Moser was not in a crosswalk when he was hit, according to the coroner's report. He died at the scene.

The driver stopped and called 911, authorities said.
