Rancho Bernardo Transit Station Opens Tuesdsay

SAN DIEGO -- A transit station that is part of a $1.3 billion improvement project along Interstate 15 will open Tuesday in Rancho Bernardo.The Rancho Bernardo Transit Station includes a park-and-ride lot with 189 spaces, commuter bus service and a ramp that directly accesses newly completed express lanes on Interstate 15, according to Caltrans and the San Diego Association of Governments.The transit station is located on the west side of Interstate 15 south of Rancho Bernardo Road.It is part of a $1.3 billion project to improve the express lanes on a 20-mile stretch of Interstate 15 between state Route 78 and state Route 163. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2012.
