Suspected Bank Robber Held On $1 Million Bail

SAN DIEGO -- The man who is accused of leading police on a wild chase last Friday doesn't stay in one place for very long, 10News reported.Police said Thomas Lavalle, 61, robbed a Bank of America branch in Carmel Mountain and then led police on a chase that topped 100 mph at times, even driving the wrong way on several freeways.10News learned that Lavalle is a convicted felon and has moved all over California and the country.In addition to Fallbrook, Valley Center and Pauma Valley, Lavalle has lived in Florida, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Nevada and Arizona.Several former neighbors in Fallbrook told 10News they do not remember anything about Lavalle.Lavalle is being held on $1 million bail, and faces charges of robbery, evading police, carrying a loaded gun in public and being a felon in possession of a concealed weapon.
