11:21 a.m. -- The carrier gives the pilot the order to divert to North Island -- 90 nautical miles out11:28 a.m. -- Shutdown of the right engine 89 nautical miles out11:36 a.m. -- 61 nautical miles out, the 'fuel lo' caution indicator goes on11:39 a.m. -- 50 nautical miles to North Island, the pilot makes contact with squadron11:41 a.m. -- 41 miles to North Island AMAD caution light goes on11:47 a.m. -- 'Left boost lo' caution light is on11:50 a.m. -- 13,000 feet begins descent , 18 nautical miles out11:51 a.m. -- Right engine crossbleed11:57 a.m. -- Flameout, three nautical miles to Miramar11:57:42 a.m. -- Plane crashes
