Pair Sought In Credit, Debit Card Theft

SAN DIEGO -- Authorities asked for help Monday in locating a man and a woman who stole a real estate agent's driver's license and debit and credit cards during an open house last month in Carmel Valley and then going on a shopping spree.The license and cards stolen on Dec. 14 were kept in a wallet inside the victim's briefcase, said Monica Munoz of the San Diego Police Department.Investigators released surveillance camera photos in hopes of identifying the pair, who used the cards in the Mira Mesa area at Best Buy, Ralphs, GNC and Albertsons stores, Munoz said. Their images were captured on security footage while they were in the Best Buy, she said.The male thief is white, in his late 30s to early 40s, about 6 feet tall with a medium build and short blond hair.The woman is also white and believed to be in her late 30s to early 40s. She has brown, shoulder-length hair and is 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 6 inches tall.San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Department asked anyone with information about the pair to call 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest in the case.
