Authorities are searching for a San Diego man considered to be one of the most wanted fugitives in the U.S., 10News reported.

Frederick McLean is wanted on multiple counts of child sexual abuse that spanned a 20-year period.

According to investigators, McLean used his position as a Jehovah's Witness to lure young girls.

Family members confronted McLean about the allegations in 2004. He reportedly confessed, but before he could be arrested McLean vanished.

10News learned that the Jehovah's Witnesses settled with the victims.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals Service office.
