Man Killed In Bike Crash Identified

SABRE SPRINGS, Calif. -- A 55-year-old man fatally struck in bike lane while riding his bicycle home from work was identified Wednesday.Walter Carl Joller Jr. of San Diego was riding north on Sabre Springs Road, near Morning Creek Drive, when he was struck around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Medical Examiner's Office and San Diego police.Joller, who was in a bike lane, was struck by a northbound BMW driven by a 55-year-old man, police said.
The BMW driver was not immediately cited, pending more investigation, said Sgt. Jeff Fellows of the Traffic Division.
