SAN DIEGO -- Mayor Jerry Sanders wagered a six-pack of Karl Strauss Amber Lager and a Rubio's Pesky Combo of two fish tacos, chips and beans on this week's playoff game between the San Diego Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts, it was reported Wednesday.Sanders made the bet with the Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, who would owe Sanders a shrimp cocktail from St. Elmo Steakhouse in his city if the Bolts beat the Colts Saturday at Qualcomm Stadium, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported."It's actually kind of a fun part of the job," Sanders told the newspaper. "I think it just reflects the community spirit, and I know everybody's excited about this game."
Low-stakes sports wagers have become a tradition among mayors.
