A non-injury fire caused about $550,000 damage to a North Park home late Tuesday night, a fire dispatcher said.

A fire on 28th Street, near Landis Street, was reported just before midnight, according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher.

"It took (firefighters) about 10 minutes to knock most of it down," he said.

How the fire started was not immediately known. No one was home at the time, the dispatcher said.

The blaze caused about $350,000 in damage to the home and about $200,000 damage to its contents, the dispatcher said.
