Free Gift-Wrapping Offered At Lindbergh Field
Service Is For Ticketed Passengers
SAN DIEGO -- Ticketed passengers traveling through San Diego International Airport can get their holiday gifts wrapped for free, starting Friday.Volunteers will staff several gift-wrapping stations inside terminals 1 and 2, past the security checkpoints, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, through Wednesday, according to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. The gift wrap features artwork created by students participating in an after-school program at The New Children's Museum.
The free service is meant to spread holiday cheer and reduce stress among airport passengers during the busy holiday travel season, according to the Airport Authority. It may also spare passengers the hassle of having Transportation Security Administration checkers unwrap their gifts during security checks.
