Kermit The Frog To Grand Marshal Local Parade

SAN DIEGO -- Kermit the Frog has been chosen to serve as the grand marshal of the 18th annual Port of San Diego "Big Bay Balloon Parade" on Dec. 29, it was announced.The parade, which will also feature a procession of 22 giant balloon characters, including Mighty Mouse, Clifford, Horton the Elephant and Mr. Potato Head, will get under way at 9 a.m. in downtown along Harbor Drive on the San Diego Bay waterfront.The spectacle is part of the festivities surrounding the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, which begins at 5 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Qualcomm Stadium.
