Sheriff's Deputies Hunt Prison Escapee

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Sheriff's deputies are searching for an escaped inmate they say came up with an intricate scheme to get out of prison.Deputies said Tuan Tran switched identification bracelets with an inmate with the same last name.The other inmate was scheduled to be bailed out of custody.
When bail was posted, Tran was released, wearing the wristband of the other inmate.Authorities believe Tran is still in San Diego. He was in prison for burglary and fraud.Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tip line at (888) 580-TIPS.
