Position: Local Sales Manager

Duties: Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual local revenue budgets by properly supervising local sales staff; obtain largest possible revenue share from each advertiser's budget through training and management of local sales staff; work with station's other sales managers to properly price commercial inventory by weighing supply vs. anticipated demand; maximize value of all commercial inventory by supervising each salesperson's daily sales efforts; establish and maintain station relationships of trust and credibility with both direct advertisers and advertising agencies, through presentations and consistent contacts; provide General Sales Manager with current local market information with regard to media plans, budgets, share distributions and personnel.

Requirements: Ability to comprehend and maximize use of competitive advantages in order to maximize value of commercial inventory. Ability to accurately read, present and anticipate future economic conditions that will lessen or increase advertiser's demands of station's commercial inventory in order to participate in properly pricing the inventory. Ability to train, motivate, organize and supervise salespeople in order to help each to be fully knowledgeable, competent, and consistent in daily selling efforts. Must have at least three years of local sales experience. Previous sales management experience preferred. Bachelor's degree required.
