Postition: News Reporter

Job Description: Gather, produce and broadcast news stories for KGTV. Also may be called upon to write news stories for newscasts, assist in newscast production, answer telephones and perform other miscellaneous newsroom jobs.

Requirement: Must be creative, aggressive broadcast journalist who is a self-starter in digging up news stories. Must have "good" news sense and be capable of working long hours under stressful conditions. In addition to those skills normally associated with a top journalist, this person must be an experienced, believable, easy to understand broadcaster who can communicate successfully with the television audience.

Bachelor's Degree necessary, although advanced degrees helpful. Should have at least several years' experience as a reporter at a television station providing a major news service to its community. Needs extensive field reporting experience.
