LAKESIDE. Calif. -- A woman was accosted by a man hiding in her car at a Lakeside park, forced to drive to an isolated location and then sexually assaulted, authorities reported Saturday. Sheriff officials released information about the Tuesday evening assault more than 36 hours after it happened. The 43-year-old woman went into her car at Lindo Lake Park at 6 p.m Tuesday when she was startled to find a man already inside, San Diego sheriff's Detective Aaron Dabbs said.
The man, who was in his mid-30s, physically assaulted her and forced her to drive to another location, Dabbs said. The man forced her to park and sexually assaulted her, before running away, according to Dabbs. The suspect was described as a black man with a light complexion and moles with short dark hair which was graying on the sides. The detective said the man may have broad shoulders with a big stomach and skinny legs.
