RAMONA, Calif. -- To say Alexis Booth is excited about her new house would be an understatement. It was almost a year ago when 10News caught up with her family at Qualcomm Stadium, where they stayed after the Witch Creek Fire in Ramona burned their house down."It was fun. I liked Qualcomm Stadium," said Alexis.
Alexis, on life support, has many memories of the past year but she said time seemed to drag on."It's been forever; it seems like it's been forever," said Alexis.Today is the day she and her family have been waiting for.Alexis' brother, Charlie, pulled out some memories that were saved from the fire.Charlie said, "I think mom grabbed them out of the fire."The family will have memories that will go in their new home."I can't imagine what it's going to feel like because I haven't been in my true home for a year now," said Charlie. Now that has all changed; a new home with four bedrooms, a fireplace and big kitchen will house the seven Booth family members."They put so much work into it … I just can't believe they pulled it all off," said Alexis. The home is finished and the family is moving in before the anniversary of the fire that changed their lives.
