Man Sentenced After Guilty Plea To Child Porn Charges

POSTED: 4:14 pm PDT October 3, 2008

A Fallbrook man whose computer contained hundreds of images depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults and each other was sentenced Friday to four years in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender.

Harry Rodriguez, 30, pleaded guilty April 29 to possession of child pornography. He was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Janis Sammartino.

Rodriguez -- who worked as an auto mechanic in Temecula -- admitted that he owned a computer containing between 150 and 300 images of children, some as young as 4 years old, engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

The case was brought as part of the Department of Justice Project Safe Childhood and the FBI's Innocent Images National Initiative. Both are nationwide initiatives to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
