Officer-Involved Crash Leads To Injuries

SAN DIEGO -- A motorist rear-ended a San Diego police car in a multi-vehicle collision in Mira Mesa that sent someone to a hospital Monday, a California Highway Patrol officer said.The accident on northbound Interstate 5 near Carroll Canyon Road occurred about 12:45 a.m., according to the CHP.The officer was not seriously hurt, San Diego police Sgt. David Jennings said.Paramedics took one person to a hospital, a fire dispatcher said.The CHP was investigating whether alcohol played a role in the wreck.
