Child, 4, Dies In Chula Vista Drowning

CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Authorities Tuesday released the name of a 4-year-old boy who drowned over the weekend in Chula Vista.Jhovan Peralta was found unconscious in a lagoon-style swimming pool at EastLake Beach Club, 2050 Lakeridge Circle, around 3:15 p.m. Monday, according to Chula Vista police and the San Diego Medical Examiner's Office.Paramedics rushed the boy to Sharp Chula Vista Hospital, where he died shortly after arriving, the Medical Examiner's Office reported.Jhovan lived in Spring Valley with his mother and siblings, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.
