San Diego police searched Friday for a skinny thief with a sun-weathered face and bushy mustache who robbed a bank in Pt. Loma.

The bandit, who appeared to be in his late 40s or early 50s, handed a demand note to a teller at the Wells Fargo branch office in the 1200 block of Rosecrans Street about 4 p.m. Thursday, according to the FBI.

The robber, who fled with an undisclosed amount of money, was described as white, about 6 feet 4 inches and 200 pounds, with a deeply tanned complexion, gray hair, a white mustache and whiskers, and several missing lower front teeth.

He was wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweat shirt, white tennis shoes and a dark colored baseball cap, the FBI reported.
