Stabbed Police Dog Back On Beat

Gino Stabbed By Suspected Burglar

Gino the police dog was nearly stabbed to death last month, but he's already back on the job, 10News reported.

The Lucky Dog Boutique in the Gaslamp Quarter threw him a little "welcome back" party Monday.

Gino's pa rtner, officer Gary Macphee, said good training and luck helped Gino survive the attack by a suspected burglar.

Officials said Gino is not yet "100 percent" and will be on light duty for awhile.
