CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Authorities on Wednesday investigated what caused a $2 million fire at a Kragen Auto Parts store in Chula Vista.

The non-injury fire on Broadway near E Street was reported at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher.

It took firefighters about 40 minutes to gain control over the blaze, she said.

The structure sustained about $1 million in damages, with damages to content estimated at another $1 million, the dispatcher said, adding that an investigation is under way.
