Congratulations to August’s Super Water Saver, Carlsbad Arroyo Vista/Tiburon – they decreased their water usage by 52%!

The Olivenhain Municipal Water District provided A. McKibbin & Co. a detailed water usage report for Arroyo Vista/Tiburon at no-cost. The report included information on their current irrigation system and recommendations and/or the upgrades needed to decrease water usage. After reviewing the report, Adrian McKibbin worked with his landscaper and replaced components that were faulty or not working to their maximum efficiency.

Adrian McKibbin also recommends the following 3 steps when managing a community’s water usage:

Perform routine physical inspections of the property

Make sure that the landscape contractor is taking the necessary steps to be proactive when problems arise with the irrigation system and continually adjusts the irrigation clocks according to weather conditions.
