SAN DIEGO -- An unlicensed motorcyclist fled a traffic stop and led officers on a brief chase from Linda Vista to Serra Mesa Monday before crashing the two-wheeler and getting arrested, authorities reported. The man failed to yield when San Diego police tried to pull him over about 12:15 p.m., in the area of Kearny Villa Road and Mesa College Drive, for an improperly displayed license plate, SDPD spokeswoman Monica Munoz said.About three minutes later, the motorcycle collided with a car at Sandrock Road and Greyling Drive, about a mile east of where the pursuit began.
Officers arrested the rider, who suffered minor injuries in the accident, Munoz said. The man, whose name was not immediately available, had no driver's license, she said.
