The victim, whose name authorities withheld, died in a hospital about 12:30 a.m., according to San Diego police Lt. Ernie Herbert.
The young man was stabbed at the recreation center at 7064 Levant St. about 4:10 p.m. Thursday and taken to a hospital, police said.
