Congratulations to July's Super Water Saver: The Marine Corps Air Station Miramar!

Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in 2007 decreased their potable\drinking water consumption by more than 29,000,000 Gallons. Currently under construction are two additional projects that will save more than 40,000,000 more gallons of drinking water.

Project 1: Converting potable water for irrigation to reclaimed\recycled water. The 3rd phase of 7 is installing 1,700 LF of new purple pipe.

Project 2. The central irrigation project will retrofit existing automatic stand-alone and manual controllers and consider the opportunity to combine and reduce the overall number of controllers. This retrofit will also provide master valves, flow sensors, gate valves, external antennas, radio hub, weather station, and other associated equipment to ensure a fully functional central control system.
