SAN DIEGO -- A 25-year-old man who ran into trouble while diving off the Coronado Islands Sunday was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard and taken to a hospital, a petty officer said. The man had complications of an unknown nature while diving from a commercial fishing boat around 11 a.m., Petty Officer Anastasia Devlin said. A helicopter hoisted the victim on board and flew him to the Coast Guard station across from Lindbergh Field, where he was loaded onto an ambulance and driven to the UCSD Medical Center, Devlin said.
The man's condition was not immediately available.
