Crime Stoppers Seeks Fugitive Of The Week

SAN DIEGO -- The County of San Diego has approximately 18,000 fugitives wanted for crimes committed in the county. To help in apprehending these criminals, San Diego County Crime Stoppers has joined with the Regional Fugitive Task Force to develop a new fugitive apprehension program that puts the spotlight on one individual fugitive each week, Crime Stoppers officials said.This week's fugitive is Carl Witten.He is wanted by the Regional Fugitive Task Force on suspicion of robbery and carjacking. Investigators said Witten was believed to be the man armed with a handgun during a robbery and carjacking incident.
Witten is described as a black man, 21-years-old, 5 foot 11 inches tall, 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to his arrest.
