Local Students Win Stock Market Game

Successfully mastering the intricacies in the stock market, two seniors from Cathedral Catholic High School in Carmel Valley won a free trip to New York City. During a 10-week period this fall, the two played "The Stock Market Game." They beat the market, which was down 5 percent, with a portfolio that was valued at nearly $145,000 and had a 50% growth. They also beat the over 10,000 other high school teams across the state.
