SAN DIEGO -- A woman robbed a 7-11 convenience store in San Carlos early Sunday by holding her hand under her shirt to simulate a weapon, police said.

The woman held up the store at 8508 San Carlos Drive just before 2 a.m., San Diego police Sgt. Richard Nemetz said.

The robber, described as white, in her 30s, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a heavy build and dirty blond hair, demanded money from a clerk and ran off, Nemetz said.
