Police Search For East County Bank Robber

LA MESA, Calif. -- A man robbed a bank in La Mesa Friday, police said.The robbery took place at the First Future Credit Union, located at 7900 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa.The robber entered the credit union at 6:05 p.m. He made a verbal demand from the cashier, stating he had a weapon, La Mesa police said.
After receiving a sum of money, the robber left the bank on foot, said La Mesa Officer Darrell Foxworth.The robber is described as a black male, about 30 years old, 200 pounds, 6 feet tall.Anyone with information concerning this robbery is asked to contact the FBI at telephone number 858-565-1255, or Crime Stoppers at telephone number 888-580-TIPS.
