Crime Stoppers Seeks Fugitive Of The Week

SAN DIEGO -- The County of San Diego has approximately 18,000 fugitives wanted for crimes committed in the county. To help in apprehending these criminals, San Diego County Crime Stoppers has joined with the Regional Fugitive Task Force to develop a new fugitive apprehension program that puts the spotlight on one individual fugitive each week, Crime Stoppers officials said.This week's fugitive is Emanuel Rubio. He is wanted by the Regional Fugitive Task Force on two counts of attempted murder.On January 20, 2007, Rubio is accused of shooting two men while at a party in National City. Rubio was arrested and booked into County jail, but posted bail and has not been seen since, police said.
Rubio is an Hispanic, 24-years-old, 5 foot 10 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of “Rubio” on his left arm.Authorities said Rubio is an experienced welder and has worked at local shipyards in the past.Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to her arrest.
