UCSD Announces Plans To Go Green

SAN DIEGO -- The University of California, San Diego is on its way to becoming a leader in green campuses, 10News reported.The university announced it is launching new energy saving practices to become a waste-free campus by 2020.New projects at UCSD include the installation of more solar energy arrays on building rooftops and using power from waste methane produced by the Point Loma Waste Treatment Plant.
UCSD also plans to use seawater to air condition its labs and other facilities.
