UPDATED: 5:20 pm PDT March 26, 2008

Sheriff's deputies are hoping someone will recognize the man who robbed a branch of the Bank of America in Vista earlier this month.

Investigators released a surveillance camera photo taken of the robber.

He was described as Hispanic or Samoan in his late teens or early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds, with shoulder-length hair pulled back into a ponytail with 2 corn row braids.

Deputies said he entered the bank on South Santa Fe Avenue in Vista about 3:30 p.m. on March 7, and after presenting a demand note, indicated he had a weapon.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to his arrest. If you have any information, call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-TIPS.
