SAN DIEGO -- Two alleged gang associates pleaded not guilty Friday to murder and attempted murder in connection with a drive-by revenge shooting in Clairemont that left a 22-year-old man dead and a teenager wounded.Raysheon Marquise Burton, 21, and Warren Hargrove, 20, both of Linda Vista, were arrested Wednesday in connection with Tuesday night's fatal shooting of Jose Antonio Beltran in the 5900 block of Chateau Drive.Burton and Hargrove are accused of driving up to the victims late Tuesday, asking where they were from and opening fire, said Deputy District Attorney Melissa Diaz. The suspects may have thought the victims were involved in a prior assault on a friend, she said. The defendants, who are believed to be gang associates, were arrested shortly after the shooting. The victims have no apparent gang connections, she said.Judge David Szumowski ordered Burton and Hargrove to remain in custody in lieu of $1 million bail and scheduled a status conference for March 28.
