LA MESA, Calif. -- The district attorney's office will not investigate the February incident involving La Mesa Mayor Art Madrid and the La Mesa Police Department.La Mesa City Councilman Dave Allen had asked the district attorney to determine whether police acted properly when they drove the mayor and another city employee home, after finding them parked drunk on a residential road.District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis said her office does not deal with issues of police policy and procedure.
