RAMONA, Calif. -- A speeding motorcyclist was killed Sunday in Ramona when his bike crashed and he was struck by another vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Witnesses said the motorcyclist was speeding when the bike crashed on state Route 78 near Pine Street around 2:30 p.m., the CHP reported.

Pine Street was expected to be closed between Haverford Road and Main Street for about two hours.
