SAN DIEGO -- Residents at an apartment complex near University Town Center are on high alert after hearing reports of a man exposing himself in elevators and stairwells.

"I think we're all scared, especially the girls, especially at night," said one apartment resident.

Since October, at least six people have reported a flasher lurking around the Costa Verde apartments.

The population at the apartments is primarily college students.

"It's really scary," said one student living in the building. "I definitely carry pepper spray, have keys ready, let roommates know I'm coming home, so if I'm late to call me and things like that."

Unfortunately, no one knows what he looks like.

Victims said the man wears a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled tight over his head and face.
