ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- An Escondido High School art teacher accused of having sex with a female student surrendered to police Thursday and was arrested on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

Randy Nack, 32, was also booked on suspicion of contact with a minor with the intent of committing a sex offense, sexual penetration of a minor and oral copulation with a minor, Escondido police Lt. Bob Benton said.

Detectives have been investigating the allegations since Jan. 17 and forwarded the results to the District Attorney's Office for review, Benton said.

Nack has been on administrative leave since the investigation was launched.

Nack was booked into the Vista Detention Facility, with bail set at $200,000, the lieutenant said.
