Postal Employee Robbed At Gunpoint

SAN DIEGO -- A U.S. Postal Service employee was robbed at gunpoint in City Heights, and the masked bandits made off with a money bag, police said.The employee was unloading his truck at 4139 University Ave. on Friday at around 6:30 p.m. when two men confronted him with semi-automatic handguns, said Sgt. Rich Nemetz of the San Diego Police Department.The suspects, described as black males wearing dark clothing and bandanas covering their faces, grabbed a large canvas money bag and fled on foot, Nemetz said.
The U.S. Postal Police responded to the scene and are handling the investigation with help from the San Diego Police Department, Nemetz said.
