Injured football player Scotty Eveland will remain at Palomar Medical Center for at least three more weeks, 10News reported.

Eveland's insurance provider, Blue Cross, has been trying to relocate him to a rehabilitation facility.

On Tuesday, the state's Department of Managed Health Care extended Eveland's insurance for three weeks.

The teen has been recovering at Palomar Medical Center since September when he suffered a severe brain injury during a game.
