Ruling Extends Injured Athlete's Stay At Hospital

SAN DIEGO -- Injured football player Scotty Eveland will remain at Palomar Medical Center for at least three more weeks, 10News reported.Eveland's insurance provider, Blue Cross, has been trying to relocate him to a rehabilitation facility.On Tuesday, the state's Department of Managed Health Care extended Eveland's insurance for three weeks.The teen has been recovering at Palomar Medical Center since September when he suffered a severe brain injury during a game.
