San Diego courts and all city, county and federal government offices will be closed Tuesday for New Year's Day.

There will be no mail delivery Tuesday, and garbage pickups will be delayed one day for the rest of the week. Garbage and recycling collection will return to its normal schedule next Monday.

Libraries, community and recreation centers will be closed, but municipal parks and golf courses will remain open.

Curbside parking meters in San Diego will not be enforced Tuesday.

San Diego Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District buses will operate on a holiday schedule.
