SAN DIEGO -- The median price of a home in San Diego County fell nearly 10 percent in November, compared to the same time last year, according to figures released by a real estate information service.

The overall median price of a home in the San Diego area last month was $440,000, compared to $487,000 in November 2006, a 9.7 percent decline, according to San Diego-based DataQuick Information Systems.

November sales totaled 2,400 homes, compared to 3,248 homes sold during the same month last year, a 26.1 percent decline, according to DataQuick.
