Police Seek Credit Union Bandit

San Diego Police Department Robbery Unit detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the First Future Credit Union at 1831 Fourth Ave.

On Nov. 16, 2007, at about 10:30 a.m., a man entered the credit union and robbed a teller at gunpoint. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is described as white, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inches tall, 190 to 200 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, a dark hooded sweat shirt, surgical gloves, black converse shoes, blue jeans and a backpack. The gunman was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the San Diego Police Department Robbery Unit at 619-531-2299 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-TIPS. By calling Crime Stoppers' anonymous, toll-free tip line, you may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
