SAN DIEGO -- Investigators with the Medical Examiner's Office are still working to positively identify the illegal immigrants killed in the Harris Fire and to release the bodies to their families, 10News reported."We're hoping to get some closure for them as soon as possible, but it could take weeks or months before we have an answer," James Buckley of the Medical Examiner's Office told the San Diego Union-Tribune. "We want to make sure we are giving the right individuals back to families."Four of the dead were trapped by the fire in a ravine off state Route 94 after they crossed the border illegally near Tecate, in an area known for immigrant smuggling.
